The All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Ntufam Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu today met with stakeholders in Biase  and Akamkpa LGAs in  continuation of his state wide consultative and thank you tour. 

The tour began with the consultation of  Paramount Ruler and the traditional council of Biase

Paramount Ruler of Biase, Onun Apostle Nicholas Odum expressed delight to receive Sen. Otu. "I receive you as our incoming governor. We have seen your good handwork, if I were a politician I would say more, but as a traditional ruler, I will say less. Sen. Otu, the bible says when you give someone a task and he does it well, you have to give the person bigger task. When you were a senator, no one ever performed the way you did" he said

In his welcome address, the deputy governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ivara Esu said "I'm pleased that the tour started from Biase which is known as the gateway to the South.

"In Biase we have decided over and over again that we already have our governor in Prince Otu.
"Some of us are beneficiaries of your sweetness, you have paid your dues and the support of Biase is total" he said.
In her address, the chairman of Biase LGA, Hon Ada Biase expressed delight at the visit Sen Otu and his team, describing his visit  as homecoming.
The gubernatorial hopeful also recieved royal blessings from the royal fathers in support of the 2023 project.
Speaking unbehalf of the Northern Senatorial District, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, reaffirmed the district's believe in equity, justice and fair play, insisting that northern Cross River will continue to stand with the back-to-South agenda
A former leader of the Senate, Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba who spoke unbehalf of the central senatorial district, Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba said the central senatorial district totally and unequivocally support back-to-South and Sen. Prince Bassey Otu who by his character in leadership is the best to lead the state.
In Akamkpa LGA,, Sen. Otu was received by the Paramount Ruler and traditional council, Council Chairman, political appointees, APC stakeholders, party faithful and several hundreds of sons and daughters of Akamkpa.
In his remarks, the chairman of Akamkpa LGA said Otu is a man of character, "Your antecedent in leadership and in empowerment is what the State needs right now. It is the turn of the South; We in Akamkpa are solidly behind you". He assured him of the support of Akamkpa come 2023.
Responding, Sen Prince Otu expressed gratitude to the people for the rousing reception, the warmth, hospitality and show of love.
"I'm here to thank you for your support and the role you played in my emergence during the Party primaries.
"In cross River State today, we need a man with experience, a man who can open doors  locally and internationally, a man with overwhelming popularity and support across the the three senatorial district. You decided I was best suited to be your flagbearer and you made it happen.
"The basis of my philosophy is service to humanity, I want to assure you that we will take our State to the next level.
"To the delegates, thank you is not enough, you gave me your support even without any financial inducement. Your confidence in me is a debt I will repay by  ensuring we bequeath a State of our dreams
The gubernatorial hopeful was accompanied the his dear wife, Rev. Mrs. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, the leadership of the APC in the State, led by the State Chairman Barr. Alphonsus Eba and members of the state working committee, the Director General of his Campaign Organisation, H.E. Amb. Soni Abang, Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba, Sen. Princess Florence Ita Giwa, High Chief Prof. Etim Nyong,  High Chief Edem Duke, Chief Peter Ojie, Chief Ernest Irek, Chief Tony Udiandeye, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, High Chief Higgins Peters, Ntufam John Okon, Bishop Prof. Micheal Okom, Hon Julius Okputu, Bishop Alex Ukam among several other critical stakeholders.
